Pumping stations

The pump room is the heart of every water-based fixed extinguishing system. It ensures that the system is supplied with the required water pressure and flow — or, where necessary, with the correct proportion of foam concentrate. Only a reliably operating pump room can guarantee the full performance of the extinguishing technology.
Our engineers design and manufacture pump rooms in accordance with all relevant international standards and regulations, including VdS, TRVB, FM Global and NFPA. This ensures that every system is precisely aligned with the project requirements and all applicable standards.
On request, ACCURO also provides customised pump rooms as containerised solutions. The major advantage: extensive on-site installation work is largely eliminated. This is particularly efficient and cost-saving for international projects.

Hydrants

Hydrants are an essential component of a reliable firefighting water supply. They allow fire services and emergency responders to draw extinguishing water quickly and directly. Above-ground hydrants can also be used as emergency lines for temporary water supply.
The choice of the appropriate system depends on several factors — including structural conditions, applicable standards and the specific requirements of the site. With decades of experience, ACCURO provides customised solutions in plant and power station construction and offers extensive expertise in this complex field.
A distinction is made between above-ground and underground hydrants. Above-ground hydrants are the most common type and typically feature two to three valves: a central main valve, installed frost-proof deep inside the hydrant, and additional side outlets for fire hoses. Underground hydrants are used where space is limited; they are completely recessed into the ground and offer a discreet, space-saving solution.
Hydrant systems inside buildings are also an important part of fire protection. Depending on the application, different designs are available and can be individually adapted to the specific requirements.
For firefighting water supply, ACCURO relies not only on traditional cast-iron piping but increasingly on FM-approved polyethylene pipeline systems (PE, PEHD). These systems offer high flexibility, corrosion resistance, simple installation and a service life of more than 50 years. The main water supply line serves as the central artery of every extinguishing system — its reliability is crucial for the overall level of fire protection.
With modern hydrant systems and a high-performance firefighting water supply, ACCURO ensures a safe and efficient foundation for fire suppression — both inside buildings and in outdoor areas.

Extinguishing water supply

Water remains the most commonly used extinguishing agent — both for combating incipient fires and for containing larger fire events. To ensure that extinguishing systems operate reliably in an emergency, a stable and sufficiently dimensioned firefighting water supply is essential.
In addition to traditional cast-iron piping, ACCURO increasingly relies on FM-approved underground pipelines made of polyethylene (PE, PEHD). This material offers high flexibility, corrosion resistance and an exceptionally long service life of more than 50 years. Since underground main lines can only be replaced with considerable effort and cost, polyethylene provides decisive advantages: it is robust, durable and easy to install.
With modern polyethylene systems, ACCURO creates a reliable, economical and future-proof foundation for firefighting water supply — and therefore for sustainable, high-level fire protection.
